As we left Frantz Josef to travel to Queenstown we realised that the cloud was lifting significantly so couldn't resist a detour to Lake Matheson to see if we could get a better view and we did!

oh, what a great photo!! This was what I most wanted to see when we were there... instead, it was rain and mist, no view at all.
